Holland America Cruise Ship
AMHS Aurora Refit
DCMT provided electrical consulting services, design and systems integration support for the refit of the Alaska Marine Highways M/V “Aurora”. The Aurora is a 235 foot roll-on/roll-off passenger vessel owned and operated by The State of Alaska.
Tacoma Fireboat “Commencement” Refit
DCMT provided electrical consulting services and systems integration support for the refit of the Tacoma fireboat “Commencement”. The Commencement is a 70 foot multi-purpose harbor hovercraft. The refit included modifications to the vessel’s power systems, addition of a centralized machinery control, monitoring and alarm system and complete pilothouse console replacement. The Commencement, is able to transit quickly to its destination before settling into a displacement configuration to activate its two large fire-pumps.
Offshore Patrol Vessel DCMT provided electrical consulting services and systems integration support for STX Canada Marine for the Royal New Zealand Navy's Project Protector. Two Offshore Patrol Vessels are featured with high level of automation of electrical power generation, distribution, control and monitoring to assist the vessel intended mission profiles including patrolling, surveillance, search and rescue.
Expeditionary Warfare Craft The E-Craft is a prototype for future military vessel to test variour technologies and also constructed as a civilian ferry carrying vehicles and passengers. The ship is designed with variable draft to operate in three modes: SWATH, catameran, and landing craft. DCMT assisted Alaska Ship and Drydock in providing production design and electrical consulting services for various complex systems including remote valve control, engine and propulsion control, integrated ship monitoring and control for the vessel classed with ABS HSC RoRo Passenger and ACCU. Working closely with the yard, our production package is tailored to enhance electrical installations process.
Ferry
DCMT provided electrical consulting services and systems integration, and production support to Vancouver Shipyard for the construction of Island Sky for BC Ferries. The double-ended ferry is incorporated with high level of safety and automation of electrical power generation, distribution, control, and monitoring as required by Transport Canada and Lloyd Register for centralized control station (CCS). Working closely with the builder DCMT provided various system designs, purchase technical specifications, design verification documents, and also participated in the final test and trail phase of the construction.
Pacific Glacier
DCMT provided electrical systems consulting services, coordination analyses, design and integration support to Jensen Maritime Consultants, Inc. for the fire/smoke/water damage repair of the F/T "Pacific Glacier". The Pacific Glacier is a 276 foot freezer trawler owned and operated by Glacier Fish Company of Seattle. It experienced a serious fire in February 2008 while in the Bering Sea and underwent an extensive refit in Todd Pacific Shipyards in Seattle.
Robert Allan Ltd. Projects
DCMT provided electrical engineering and design services for Robert Allan Ltd. Project, 30 meter Z-Tech 7000 Tug, The engineering and design work DCMT provided includes the top level concept and contract design package for class approval, such as load analysis, one-line diagrams, and engineering calculation for both AC and DC power systems. |
